Everything you need to know about highlights

Highlights are a popular way to give your hair more depth, dimension and a fresh look. At Ferry's Hair Studio we are happy to help you with the perfect look that suits your wishes. But before you make an appointment, we answer the most frequently asked questions about highlights.

Did you know that through Ferry's Hairstudio you get a discount on Keune products that keep your highlights beautiful and radiant? Check out the promotion here:

What are highlights?

Highlights are lighter strands of hair that are applied subtly to create contrast and movement in your hairstyle. By lightening certain parts of your hair, you create a natural and sun-bleached look. This can be done with different techniques and shades, depending on your hair color and style.

How often should you touch up highlights?

To keep your highlights looking fresh and natural, it is recommended to touch them up every 8 to 12 weeks. How quickly your regrowth becomes visible depends on your hair color and the speed at which your hair grows.

How much do highlights cost?

The cost of highlights varies per salon and depends on the amount of work and the techniques used. Ferry's Hair Studio Highlight prices start at €110. Want an exact quote? Contact us or schedule a consultation.

How long does it take to apply highlights?

The time needed to apply highlights varies between 1.5 and 3 hours, depending on the length and thickness of your hair and the desired look. During your appointment we take the time to apply everything carefully for the best result.

How long should highlights be left on?

The processing time of balayage depends on several factors, such as your natural hair color and the desired lightness. On average, the color should be left on for 45 to 90 minutes. During your appointment at Ferry's Hairstudio, we will keep a close eye on how the color develops to ensure that you get the perfect shade.

How long do highlights last?

Highlights do not fade, but grow out. That is why it is important to regularly touch up your roots. With good care, your highlights will remain beautiful until your next appointment.

Are highlights bad for your hair?

At Ferry's Hair Studio we use high-quality products that are gentle on your hair. Although every chemical treatment has an impact, we minimize damage through our expertise and the use of caring treatments such as Olaplex.

What is 1/4 or 3/4 highlights?

By 1/4 highlights we mean that only a quarter of your hair is highlighted. This is perfect for a subtle touch-up or to accentuate certain parts of your hair, such as the hair around your face.

We had a wonderful experience at Ferry's Hairstudio! This was the very first time our daughter went to a hair salon, so we were quite nervous. Media listened very carefully to our wishes and cut her hair exactly as we had asked. She was incredibly patient, friendly, and made sure our daughter felt at ease the whole time. We greatly appreciate her attention to detail and the care with which she worked. The result is beautiful and we are very happy with it. Thank you, Media, for making our daughter's first haircut such a lovely experience. Next time, I will definitely make an appointment for myself too! ❤️

I got my navel pierced and I am very satisfied. I was treated really well and was constantly offered cookies; it was really sweet. That woman was very sweet, cute, and chatted with me because I was very nervous. I definitely recommend it if you want to get a piercing.
