Keratin treatments are a highly praised method for repairing damaged hair and achieving a silky shine. Keratin, a natural protein essential to the structure of hair, skin and nails, can be lost due to various factors such as chemical treatments and heat from styling tools, leaving hair brittle and dull. A keratin treatment replenishes this protein, restoring hair’s natural shine and bounce.

How does a keratin treatment work?
The keratin treatment process generally involves washing the hair with a special shampoo to remove residue and open the hair cuticle. The keratin formula is then applied to the hair and massaged in. After a processing period, the hair is blow-dried and styled using heat to seal the keratin deep into the hair.
NB: Not all keratin treatments are the same. Some contain formaldehyde, a potentially harmful chemical. We as professional hairdressers work not with this chemical and use only safe & high quality products.
While keratin treatments are not permanent and may fade over time, special sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners can help prolong results and keep hair healthy between treatments.
Hair aging
Hair aging is a natural process and clearly visible and tangible. The hair scales open up, causing the loss of nutrition and hydration. The hair is porous and feels stiff and dry. Hair aging occurs naturally, but also by:
- chemical treatments (colour, bleaching, straightening, relaxing);
- high temperatures (blow-drying, straightening irons and curling irons);
- the weather (sun, wind, rain);
- chlorine and seawater;
- low quality hair care products;
- heating & air conditioning.
One of the main benefits of a keratin treatment is reducing frizz and frizz, especially for those with curly or wavy hair. By forming a protective layer around the hair, it becomes less susceptible to humidity, reducing frizz even in humid weather.
Additionally, a keratin treatment can significantly reduce styling time. With smoother, more manageable hair, people often need less time and heat from styling tools, which can help prevent further damage and contribute to healthier hair in the long run.
Colored or chemically treated hair can also benefit from a keratin treatment. Not only does it restore shine and softness, it also extends the life of the color, as it strengthens the outer layer of the hair, keeping the color vibrant for longer.
Another benefit of keratin treatments is improving the overall health of the hair. Damaged hair strands are repaired, resulting in stronger hair that is less likely to break and therefore can grow longer.
The goal of a modern keratin treatment is to provide the aging hair shaft with the lost building blocks. These building blocks are called amino acids or while the keratin loss every person naturally. With the keratin treatments we use high-quality ingredients, called amino acids to restore the condition of the hair. In addition, the hair shaft, after adding the lost amino acids, is sealed with the help of a flat iron. By sealing the hair shaft, the active ingredients remain in the hair for an average period of 4 to 6 months. Mist the right care products are used.
